I have had someone install the keylogger on my desktop and laptop. I formatted my laptop and it seemed to be gone, however i had not cleaned my desktop yet and when i plugged the laptop on the network, it was still logging. Then i reinstalled windows on the desktop. i didnt format i just did a windows re install. while i was reinstalling windows on the desktop, i noticed during one of the reboots a program that had "stopped responding". the name of the program was "you should not see me". then the machine rebooted. so i went to the laptop which was on the network with the desktop, and found the keylogger. (actually found keylogger and keylogger home and email logger on both machines but for simplicitys sake i am just saying keylogger in this message). however when i went to the desktop i saw no trace of the logger. My question is, will formating and re installing actually clean the machine? or does the program proprgrate across a network? I have brought my laptop to work and i work fo rthe govt. so is it possible that the machines at work now have the keylogger/email logger? reguardless i need the programs off my machines.
