If your installed Email Spy Pro is trial version you can simply click on "Uninstall" button within program trial warming message. Trial version shows this warning at system startup.

If there is not any trial message at system startup your installed Email Spy Pro is licensed version and we need to define owner of this version at first. Please send email message to our support team to get next instructions...

I did not install anything.  It appears that someone is monitering my laptop.  I do not think anyone installed anything on this machine.  Is it possible that can happen?

My Counter Spy program reports that Email Spy v4.5 (Spydex, Inc.) is modifying my Registry and writing to the following:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RFC1156Agent

and

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RFC1156Agent\CurrentVersion\Parame ters TrapPollTImeMilliSecs 15000

I quarantine the program yet it continues to appear.

What is happening?

Thanks for your assistance.

I am getting the same thing from Counter Spy and I didn't put anything on my computer either.  Wonder if Counter Spy is picking something else up and reading it....I need to know as well.

We have tested latest version of CounterSpy product and actually detection of our Email Spy Pro product is false, i.e. detected by CounterSpy registry records:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RFC1156Agent
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\RFC1156Agent\CurrentVersion\Parame ters

are normal Windows registry records. That is why Windows recovers those removed records after system reboot. To be sure exactly about validity of those registry records you could apply to Microsoft support service.

So please apply to CounterSpy developers to resolve this problem.
