Cannot uninstall or reinstall

If I hit uninstall from the control center, I get a BSOD with error 11B in tookuy.sys. If I try to reinstall over the existing version, I get the question if I want to update the core files, I say yes and get the same BSOD and error again. I am running Vista 32-bit and have disabled the antivirus (Microsoft security Essentials).
The reason I want to uninstall/reinstall is that the program has stopped sending copies of the captured emails to the configured address.
Please help.
