I have downloaded the trial on Email Spy Pro. My Zone Alarm immediately picked it up, your description suggests that it goes around firewalls, have I missed something?

Yes probably you have missed something. Could you specify what warning message exactly do you get from your Zone Alarm? Would be great if you could email to our support team attached screen-shot of this alarm message so we could verify all themselves.
