Title: AAK REFUSES TO UnINSTALL; 10 months, still annoyed Post by Annoyed_of_AAK on Nov 12th, 2006, 10:01pm DO NOT INSTALL AAK! YOU MAY RISK IT ANNOYING YOU FOR THE REST OF YOUR COMPUTER'S LIFETIME!! I tried out AAK for their trial offer. It expired, and i wasn't interested anymore. So i uninstalled it. Upon restart, the program is suppose to be cleared from my computer and it auto loads a website asking me why i uninstalled. This was over 10 months ago. To this very day, i still get the same autoload website everytime i restart my computer. I've even responded to the Uninstall website with my contact info asking how to remove this annoyance... no responses. |

Title: Re: AAK REFUSES TO UnINSTALL; 10 months, still ann Post by Eric on Nov 13th, 2006, 5:50am Hmmm... Actually this uninstall feedback link had to run once only after AAK uninstalation. Can you please do the following: - Run Windows registry editor: Start -> Run -> regedit -> OK - Open registry branch: HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software -> Microsoft -> Windows -> CurrentVersion -> Run - Right click on last key name to export this registry branch to file. - Email this file to <support@spydex.com> for our examination. Do the same for the following registry branches as well: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Run HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\RunOnce |

Title: Re: AAK REFUSES TO UnINSTALL; 10 months, still ann Post by Spitfire on Nov 26th, 2006, 3:10am Nov.26th_2006 11:26 A.M. Hi Again Eric This problem has been resolved at Nov.26th_2006 11:26 A.M., by means of massive cleaning of registry for all appearances of <AAK>. Regarding LEGACY STUFF, I forced my way, giving full control to all users for smashing every bit of it. In the meantime, I am staying Sincerely Yours To: support@spydex.com Sent: Sunday, November 26, 2006 9:58 AM Subject: Setup can't update current version / AAK 3.7 Hello Eric, After uninstalling AAK 3.7, on account of reinstalling Windows SP2 (CD based), I receive the following statement: Setup can't update current version because of some problems. Please, uninsall current version & try to install new version again. I have been running AAK 3.7, for years, frequently un- & reinstalling, with the help of the product key, for various reasons. AAK 3.7 could not run under Vista Beta 2, (July 2006). Bye |
