Title: Can a Key Logger act as a legitimate app?
Post by kliko on Aug 11th, 2005, 9:28am
I understand that Anti Key Logger will block all attempts to monitor any keystrokes by any programs.
I also understand that the user can allow a known legitimate application to bypass.
My question is: Can any malicious Key Logger piggyback a legitimate application and thus, be allowed by the user to run.

Thanks

Unfortunately such scenario is possible and that is why Advanced Anti Keylogger has "High Security Mode" when any attempts to monitor any keystrokes by any applications are blocked. Especially we suggest all our users switch to "High Security Mode"when critical private information is typing.

From our experience, blocked ability of keystrokes monitoring doesn't affect noticeably to normal operation
most of usual legitimate applications (maybe some hot-key combination or insignificant option will not work). We have to pay for everything in our life so little possible discomfort during the work of our favorite application is a cost for our privacy.
