Keystroke monitoring technology could be used by any applications. Trusted applications may use this technology for hot-key combinations, switching of keyboard input languages, detecting of user's inactivity and so on. Malicious applications, on the other hand, can use this technology to steal typed logon names and passwords, credit card and banking data, or private and confidential information. In the High Security Mode (HSM) program blocks any attempts at keystroke monitoring for absolutely all applications, both trusted and malicious. In the Custom Security Mode (CSM) user has the ability to use a flexible set of rules that allow keystroke monitoring for trusted programs and prohibit it for malicious or unknown applications. Both modes provide the same level of protection. However CSM provides the more comfortable work with trusted applications but if you are enough experienced user to differ trusted applications from malicious or at least unknown applications. Also, in some cases, CSM allows to "bring together" our product with other applications using the similar protection algorithm (e.g. with other anti-spyware, anti-virus or firewall software).
